With a Bachelor’s in Accounting and an Economics focus, I find real-world economics far more interesting than the guns-and-butter calculus my professors taught. Starting in the mortgage industry in 2003, I landed at a firm that did everything wrong. It was not long until I found a new home with another company that honored my desire to apply best industry-related practices, avoid common mortgage pitfalls and reduce unnecessary client fees. But as subprime loans entered the marketplace, I found myself quickly out of place and opted to start my own endeavor – First Liberty Mortgage. As a mortgage industry principal, my company mirrored my love for sound economic strategy, honest client interaction and people-based business. With fine-tuned professionalism, I strove to keep my company people-focused, building my business by nurturing relationships. However, the shifting tide of the present-day mortgage industry encouraged strategically aligning myself and my clients with a strong mortgage bank.
